Description of Professional Services
Design and development of contract level documents for expansion of existing Park-and-Ride Facility in Town of Weathersfield. Facility is located on VT Route 131 in southwest corner of Exit 18 interchange on Interstate I-91. Access must be maintained to adjacent private parcel to southwest via an existing right-of-way through middle of Park-and-Ride facility.
Reviewed existing pavement and sub-base on interior of existing park and ride to determine if it is adequate to save and reuse. New pavement structure consists of sand borrow, subbase of dense graded crushed stone and/or a permeable base material, new underdrain and new bituminous concrete pavement.
Safety improvements reconfigured existing entrance (alignment and geometrics); resurface pavement; installation of shelter, site lighting, and ADA handicapped parking spaces; drainage improvements; new right-of-way fence; and relocation of existing signage, utility poles, and guardrail. This project was developed in accordance with the VTrans Local Transportation Facilities (LTF) Unit procedures. Back to Top
