Aviation Staff Engineer, EIT

 

DuBois & King, Inc. is seeking a Staff Aviation Engineer with approximately 0-5 years of experience.  This is a full-time engineering position with full benefits in our busy and growing aviation division.

Responsibilities:

  • Learning key engineering software, such as AutoCad, Civil 3D and GIS programs/ conventions.
  • Assist in the development and preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates.
  • Conduct site reviews as needed for feasibility studies, planning and design projects.
  • Provide conceptual, preliminary, and final design civil engineering support for all divisions. These tasks are likely to include: investigation, research, calculations, evaluation of alternatives, and design development on a variety of projects.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment
  • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering
  • AutoCAD, Civil 3D and GIS experience preferred.
  • Aviation  experience preferred
  •  EIT / EI License

Aviation Planner / Designer

 

The DuBois & King Aviation division is seeking to hire a talented planner with experience in any or all of the following subjects: aviation planning, environmental, fundamentals of airport engineering, Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) and technical writing. The right candidate is committed to developing our airports into more successful, vibrant places to travel, work, and enjoy.

The primary focus of this position will be aviation planning in New England, and beyond, with a focus on long-term planning and funding acquisition to better prepare our airports for growth. The opportunity to work on projects beyond aviation planning is also available to ideal candidates.

Required skills

Applicants must be excellent communicators. Writing, speaking, and graphic communication skills are highly valued in all contexts and with all audiences. The ideal candidate should have:

  • A working knowledge of FAA regulations, airport operations, permitting, and funding opportunities.
  • A fundamental belief that Planning is an essential component of the design, engineering, and construction process.
  • A willingness to develop relationships with clients, federal and state agencies, and other Aviation industry professionals in order to help develop business and increase project efficiency.
  • A “team-first” mindset
  • A strong aptitude for the written word.

Desired qualifications
