DuBois & King, Inc., is seeking a BIM/Revit Manager Designer with 5-10 years’ experience to be based in our rapidly growing Building Services division.
Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of Design-Bid-Build, Design/Build, Design Assist, Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) and other modern contractual delivery methods.
- Facilitates the development, implementation, and enforcement of BIM and design technology standards, including content libraries and templates.
- Understanding of the construction industry along with likely future trends as it relates to BIM
- Investigates, evaluate, and develop best practices of project workflows from design, estimation, construction administration and coordination.
- Serves as first line of support for advanced, complex Revit/BIM software workflows and modeling.
- Customer service experience exhibiting oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work well with individuals (co-workers, clients, partners, vendors) at all levels.
- Reviews design 3D models and project data for quality, organization, and performance.
- Able to establish, create, maintain, and administer REVIT design standards.
- Coordinates and facilitates clash detection, QA/QC, and auditing design models across varied model authoring software.
- Develops and maintains project BIM Execution Plan documents and templates.
- Lead regular multi-disciplinary project BIM standardization meetings.
- Provides experienced and professional opinions, communications, and leadership related to BIM and technology to our clients and partners.
- Investigates and informs best practices for large teams and large project modeling, documentation, file sharing, and QA/QC.
- Responsible for development of staff, including advanced skills training for key employees or groups.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of experience in computer assisted drafting, design, and BIM required.
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Architectural, Engineering required
- Ability to work with limited supervision.
- Experience with, and passionate about, design technology; skilled in its application and practices to increase user effectiveness
- Field experience in design and construction preferred.
- Working knowledge of MEP systems and installations.
- MEP standardization is a strong plus
- Willingness to learn new software and convert data between different software platforms.
- Strong working knowledge of Navisworks, Revit, and AutoCAD MEP is required.
- Working knowledge of MS Office, including Excel, Outlook, Word
- Working knowledge of facilities surveys, reports, feasibility studies, design, specifications, cost estimating, and construction activity support.
- Knowledge of Engineering drafting standards
- Demonstrable understanding of construction process and interpretation of construction drawings.
- Good communication skills
- Other Skills/Abilities: Team oriented, professional, self-starter, with positive attitude and multi-tasking capability
- Knowledge of building code standards preferred
