Licensed Land Surveyor

 

DuBois & King is seeking a Licensed Surveyor looking for opportunities for growth to work with our growing survey team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of field survey procedures including linear topographic survey, boundary surveys, land record research and plan preparation, and construction layout
  • Taking an active role in client relations, researching land records, and preparing plans.
  • The position provides opportunities for regular participation in business development, staff growth and mentoring, and strategic planning.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 of relevant experience (though the firm is willing to mentor and train the right individual)
  • Active LS license, or the ability to obtain one in 12 months.
  • Ability to operate survey equipment; GPS, Total Station and Robotics is required. Preference will be given to applicants with leadership experience, strong communication skills, and a desire for growth including managing personnel as well as projects.
  • Experience with business development or public sector clients is preferred.
  • CAD Experience

Mechanical Engineer

 

DuBois & King, Inc. is currently hiring a Mechanical Engineer with 5 -10 years’ experience in the development of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing systems and building works for our Building Services division.

Responsibilities

  • Design and review CAD Works
  • Preparation of reports
  • Speciation development and review
  • Ability to work within fast-paced, team-oriented workplace.
  • Experience with Site development, buildings, HVAC, and electrical process and controls is a plus
  • Completing and checking engineering calculations
  • Advancement opportunities will be commensurate with education and experience

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience in a relevant field

Mechanical Building Energy Engineer

 

DuBois & King, Inc. is currently hiring a Building Energy Engineer with 5+ years of experience. This is a full time / full benefits position focusing on our busy and growing high performance building work. Projects include commercial, industrial, institutional, healthcare, recreational, and government facilities throughout New England. The candidate must have strong communication skills and be committed to excellence, continuous improvement, and environmental sustainability.

Responsibilities

  • Complete energy audits and decarbonization assessments for existing buildings, including preparing technical reports with energy, construction cost, and life cycle cost analysis.
  • Assess high performance, decarbonized mechanical system options for new buildings, and complete construction documents including drawings and specifications.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or architectural engineering is required
  • Experienced with AutoCAD and/or Revit is required
  • Excellence with Excel and Word is required
  • Passage of the FE exam is preferred.
  • Knowledge of building and energy codes is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Trace, HAP, OpenStudio or other load calculation and energy modeling tools is preferred.

  • Conduct site reviews as needed for feasibility studies, planning, and design projects.
  • Learning key engineering software, such as AutoCAD, Revit and other programs/conventions.
