Time will be split between the field and office as workload demands. The applicant will be responsible for “field to finish” products, for which the applicant will assist with field data capture, and see the product through to a polished base map. DuBois & King is seeking a Senior Dam Engineer with approximately 10 to 15 years (or more) of experience.  This is a full-time senior engineering position with full benefits in our busy and growing Dam Engineering Group.  Duties will include safety inspection, evaluation, planning, design, plan development, technical specification preparation of contract documents, and construction inspection of dam projects.  Technical experience in geotechnical/foundations, structural concrete, earth embankments is required. Related experience in hydrology & hydraulics and permitting is a plus. Experience with applicable FERC dam safety design criteria and state/federal regulations, client development, client interaction, meetings, construction cost estimating, AutoCAD is desirable.  A VT or NH PE or ability to obtain within 6-12 months is required.

This is a full-time position in our busy and growing Environmental Documentation & Natural Resources Division based in our Randolph, Vermont office. The types of projects involved with this position include hydrologic and hydraulic evaluations in support of culvert, bridge, dam and floodplain projects, fluvial geomorphic assessments, stormwater system design, channel embankment designs, channel restoration design, dam removal, evaluation and design of culverts and small bridges for improved AOP and channel stability. Resident Engineers/Inspectors needed for upcoming projects in the 2019 construction season and for those projects extending beyond the 2018 construction season. Projects are located in Vermont and New Hampshire and include municipal utility, street and highway construction, bridges, dams, and airports.
