DuBois & King (D&K) is excited to announce that Alan S. Gould, PE, has been named Chief Executive Officer of the firm. The departing Chief Executive Officer, Jeffrey Tucker, PE, has stepped down following 16 years in the leadership position but will remain on the firm’s Board of Directors.
Alan has more than 35 years of experience that includes designing and implementing electrical systems for governmental, commercial, industrial, and institutional clients. Alan earned his Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from the University of Vermont in 1989. Early in his career, he served as president and operations manager of the Gould Corporation, a mid-sized electrical contracting company in Stowe. He then spent several years at Dynapower in South Burlington designing and supervising the construction of high-voltage transformers, and he is a co-patent-holder of ultrahigh-efficiency transformer technology.
Alan joined Pearson & Associates as a senior electrical engineer in 1999 and eventually became the president and majority shareholder. In 2018, D&K acquired Pearson, and Alan was promoted to lead D&K’s Building Services Division shortly thereafter. He has served as the firm’s executive vice president since December 2023. Alan remains excited and bullish about D&K’s future and is committed to the success of the employees-owners of D&K. His leadership and mentoring abilities have flourished since he joined the firm and his responsibilities at D&K have been steadily expanding. Alan is a hard worker and has earned the respect of people throughout the firm.
As CEO of D&K, Alan will lead the firm’s strategic growth and oversee D&K’s executive team responsible for the overall management and direction of the employee-owned professional services firm.
