Staff Environmental Engineer

 

D&K is seeking an environmental engineer with 0 to 5 years of experience conducting design and producing engineering drawings for civil and/or environmental based projects.

This position will provide the opportunity to work directly with clients and advance projects that include a wide variety of civil, and environmental projects focused on design services for water resource projects, commercial development, agricultural facilities, recreational facilities, and municipal infrastructure projects.

Duties include engineering-based planning, design, and construction phase assignments on a range of projects. The ideal candidate will be a well-organized, skilled communicator, and a team player. The position requires proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D; preference may be given to applicants with knowledge in ArcGIS.

Responsibilities

  • Will work on engineering, writing, schedule and budget management, to client coordination and other general project engineering duties.
  • Provide conceptual, preliminary and final design engineering and construction management under the direction of a project manager for a variety of civil engineering projects. Work tasks are likely to include: Investigations, research, calculations, evaluation of alternatives, development of design details, plan and technical specification development and cost estimating.
  • Conduct site reviews as needed for feasibility studies, planning, and design projects.
  • Establish a working relationship with the other staff, and be an effective team member of the Environmental Services Division.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment
  • B.S. degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering
  • Approx. 0-5 years’ previous experience
  • EIT License requirement
  • Proficiency in AutoCad Civil 3D preferred
  • ArcGIS skills preferred

Compensation Range:

The salary range for this position is $60,000 – $75,000, plus employees may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will be dependent upon the individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws. Licensed Surveyor

 

DuBois & King is seeking a Licensed Surveyor looking for opportunities for growth, with 10+ years of experience to work in New Hampshire, Vermont, or Maine. The applicant will be responsible for boundary services while, providing leadership to survey teams in support of D&K’s NH, ME, VT, and MA operations. This opportunity includes responsibilities to support engineering projects.  

Responsibilities  

  • Perform a variety of field survey procedures including linear topographic survey, boundary surveys, land record research and plan preparation, and construction layout
  • Managing projects
  • Taking an active role in client relations, developing proposals, researching land records, and preparing plans.  
  • The position provides opportunities for regular participation in business development, staff growth and mentoring, and strategic planning.  

Minimum Qualifications  

  • 10 to 15 years of relevant experience (though the firm is willing to mentor and train the right individual)  
  • Active LS license with a desire to obtain an LS License in NH, ME, VT, and/or MA.  
  • Ability to operate survey equipment; GPS, Total Station and Robotics is required.  Preference will be given to applicants with leadership experience, strong communication skills, and a desire for growth including managing personnel as well as projects.  
  • Experience with business development or public sector clients is preferred. 
  • CAD Experience 

Compensation Range:

The salary range for this position is $90,000 – $120,000, plus employees may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Plumbing Designer / Engineer

 

DuBois & King, Inc. is seeking an experienced plumbing designer with approximately 2+ years of experience. This is a full time engineering position in our growing Mechanical Engineering Group. Our markets include healthcare, commercial, industrial, institutional, and government projects throughout New England. This position will be based out of our Bedford, NH office.

 Responsibilities

  • Preparing calculations under the supervision of an experienced engineer using current material and building codes and relevant design standards.
  • Ability to work in Revit to assist with the preparation of drawings and sketches including completion of redlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Conducting site visits to survey existing conditions or review project conformance with plans.
  • Flexibility with schedule to accommodate project requirements as necessary.

Qualifications

  • 2+ yrs of relevant experience
  • AutoCAD and Revit proficiency required and comfortable with engineering design software.
  • Strong technical skills combined with clear, concise written and verbal communication skills are important.

Engineering Project manager

 

DuBois & King is currently hiring a Engineering Project Manager to join the Public Works Division. Our firm is looking to add a civil or environmental engineer with 5+ years of experience who wants a team leadership role with growth potential. You will be mentored by the director of the division and you will serve as a mentor to junior engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational and project management support to the Regional Director
  • Provide management and technical development of a variety of civil projects with a strong emphasis on municipal and industrial water and wastewater
  • Develop business and build client relationships
  • Lead project teams in preparing conceptual, preliminary and final design and managing projects through construction
  • Oversee work, quality control, client coordination and all daily operational aspects of projects assigned to you
  • Prepare regulatory permit applications for a wide range of projects.
  • Prepare proposals, scopes of work, and project schedules that adhere to deadlines and budgets.
  • Mentor and train junior engineers on various project assignments
  • Share accountability with the other team members within the division

Qualifications

  • 5 – 15 years of experience in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • BS/MS in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • Preferred Civil or Environmental P.E. license
  • Previous leadership and project management experience
  • Experience with environmental permitting is a plus
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D
