Licensed Land Surveyor

 

DuBois & King is seeking a Licensed Surveyor looking for opportunities for growth to work with our growing survey team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of field survey procedures including linear topographic survey, boundary surveys, land record research and plan preparation, and construction layout
  • Taking an active role in client relations, researching land records, and preparing plans.
  • The position provides opportunities for regular participation in business development, staff growth and mentoring, and strategic planning.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 of relevant experience (though the firm is willing to mentor and train the right individual)
  • Active LS license, or the ability to obtain one in 12 months.
  • Ability to operate survey equipment; GPS, Total Station and Robotics is required. Preference will be given to applicants with leadership experience, strong communication skills, and a desire for growth including managing personnel as well as projects.
  • Experience with business development or public sector clients is preferred.
  • CAD Experience

Site & Land Civil Engineer

 

DuBois & King, Inc is seeking a Civil Engineer with approximately 5 – 10 years of experience. This is a full-time engineering position with full benefits in our busy and growing Site & Land division.

Responsibilities

  • Learning key engineering software, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D and GIS programs/conventions.
  • Assist in the development and preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates.
  • Conduct site reviews as needed for feasibility studies, planning, and design projects.
  • Provide conceptual, preliminary, and final design civil engineering support for all divisions. These tasks are likely to include: investigation, research, calculations, evaluation of alternatives, and design development on a variety of projects.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment
  • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience
  • AutoCAD and  Civil 3D preferred
  • PE or ability to obtain one within 12 months preferred

Mechanical Engineer

 

DuBois & King, Inc. is currently hiring a Mechanical Engineer with 5 -10 years’ experience in the development of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing systems and building works for our Building Services division.

Responsibilities

  • Design and review CAD Works
  • Preparation of reports
  • Speciation development and review
  • Ability to work within fast-paced, team-oriented workplace.
  • Experience with Site development, buildings, HVAC, and electrical process and controls is a plus
  • Completing and checking engineering calculations
  • Advancement opportunities will be commensurate with education and experience

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience in a relevant field

Resident Engineer & Inspector

 

DuBois & King, Inc., (D&K) is seeking experienced Resident Engineers/Inspectors for upcoming projects throughout the Northeast. Projects may include utilities, streets, highways, bridges, dams, and airports. Experience with NETTCP, AASHTO,  VTrans, and/or FAA Standards is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Must be able to read and comprehend construction documents (plans and specifications). 
  • Understand and work within the limits of Resident Engineer roles and responsibilities.
  • Represent the firm in a professional manner at all times in front of contractors, owners, funding agencies, and the public.  
  • Observe and document daily construction progress through the preparation of daily field reports and maintaining a photographic record.
  • Track installed quantities daily.
  • Participate in the review of periodic payment requests and change orders.
  • Collaborate with the project team daily.
  • Understand and enforce quality requirements in accordance with the contract documents.
  • Proactively communicate and manage time effectively.
  • Accept feedback in a professionally appropriate and thoughtful manner.
  • Lead by example via a work ethic and effort above-standard in the industry.
  • Regular and predictable attendance with reliable transportation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of field related construction observation experience.
  • Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word preferred. 
  • A strong sense of urgency and initiative.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to act confidently and decisively.

DuBois & King (D&K) is currently hiring a Marketing Specialist with 4 to 7 years of experience to join the collaborative marketing team in our growing engineering firm. D&K provides diverse professional engineering consulting services throughout the Northeast and beyond. This in-office position is based in Randolph, Vermont. 

We are looking for someone with creative energy, a strong work ethic, and strong content writing and graphic skills. Experience with photography, videography, website design or maintenance, and online media is highly desirable.
