Marketing Specialist/Designer

As a member of our team, you will develop content and graphics to support the marketing of services ranging from mechanical or civil engineering to wetland science to municipal master planning. You will prepare copy and design content for proposals, develop graphical materials for trade shows and advertising, write press releases, prepare presentations, and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Experience with photography, website design or maintenance, and social media marketing are desirable. The preferred candidate will have both graphic design and writing abilities and will enjoy working in a team-oriented environment. This position has the potential for advancement.

Prerequisites: Good grammar, writing ability, basic graphic design skills, flexibility, self-motivation, and desire to collaborate and participate as a team player; Mac-based Adobe Creative Suite (required), Google and Microsoft applications (helpful). 

Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or communications or a similar field plus 3 or more years of experience. 

Responsibilities may include:

  • Manage large amounts of information and maintain data and records online.
  • Prepare proposal outlines.
  • Write, design, proofread, and copyedit proposals.
  • Search for, identify, and distribute proposal/qualifications opportunities as assigned by Marketing Manager or Divisional Director.
  • Manage photo library.
  • Take photos as needed.
  • Develop marketing and promotional materials, both print and electronic.
  • Work with advertisers for timely and usable ad submissions.
  • Proofread and copyedit marketing materials.
  • Create social media content.
  • Recommend, draft/develop content, implement, and maintain the firm’s website, as assigned.
  • Attend conferences and trade shows.
  • General assistance and support for the firm’s marketing efforts.

This is a full-time, 40 hour-per-week position based in our Randolph office. (This is not a virtual position.) Experience with photography, website design or maintenance, and social media marketing are desirable.

Environmental Engineer

 

D&K is seeking a civil/environmental engineer with 0 to 5 years of experience conducting design and producing engineering drawings for civil and/or environmental based projects.

This position will provide the opportunity to work directly with clients and advance projects that include a wide variety of civil, and environmental projects focused on design services for water resource projects, commercial development, agricultural facilities, recreational facilities, and municipal infrastructure projects.

Duties include engineering-based planning, design, and construction phase assignments on a range of projects. The ideal candidate will be a well-organized, skilled communicator, and a team player. The position requires proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D; preference may be given to applicants with knowledge in ArcGIS.

Responsibilities

  • Will work on engineering, writing, schedule and budget management, to client coordination and other general project engineering duties.
  • Provide conceptual, preliminary and final design engineering and construction management under the direction of a project manager for a variety of civil engineering projects. Work tasks are likely to include: Investigations, research, calculations, evaluation of alternatives, development of design details, plan and technical specification development and cost estimating.
  • Conduct site reviews as needed for feasibility studies, planning, and design projects.
  • Establish a working relationship with the other staff, and be an effective team member of the Environmental Services Division.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment
  • B.S. degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering
  • Approx. 0-5 years’ previous experience
  • EIT License requirement
  • Proficiency in AutoCad Civil 3D preferred
  • ArcGIS skills preferred

IT Support Specialist

 

DuBois & King is seeking a well-rounded IT Support Specialist with 5+ years of experience. We are seeking someone who is motivated and enthusiastic about joining the D&K Team. This position requires excellent problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical users. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who can work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a point of contact for IT support related issues.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving LAN/WAN performance, connectivity and related network problems.
  • Administering the operation of all LAN/WAN-related network services according to company policies and procedures.
  • This opportunity is ideal for a candidate seeking to gain hands on experience working for with industry specific hardware and software applications that are both cloud-based or that are hosted on-site.
  • Provide assistance to computer system users within the company; troubleshoot common IT problems.
  • Escalate hardware or software problems to Managed Services Provider and monitor through to resolution.
  • In charge of keeping current business application systems updated and running smoothly.
  • Improve existing programs by evaluating objectives and specifications, reviewing proposed changes, and making recommendations.
  • Maintain, review, and recommend improvements to security protocols and policies as needed.
  • Maintains information technology strategies by implementing best in practice technological strategy solutions.
  • Educating coworkers about network security and best practices for computer usage.
  • Coordinates training programs for staff in an IT function or facility, assessing needs, identifying knowledge or documentation gaps. Participates in the design and delivery of training session materials.
  • May manage an internal database for application performance or asset inventory in an IT function or facility, maintaining integrity and redesigning the database as necessary.
  • Manage and maintain wireless mobility account.

Qualifications:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience such as Computer science, Information Technology, Software, Cybersecurity.
  • 1+ year in IT Management/support role experience preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in a help desk/IT support role
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Good organization, time management and prioritization
  • Efficient troubleshooting abilities
  • Effective communication skills, including speaking, writing and active listening
  • Basic IP networking knowledge
  • Basic understanding of Cloud Solutions & Cloud Computing
  • Knowledge of wireless networks, set up maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of video conference systems, cell phones, smartphones, iOS, iPadOS, and other common hardware devices and software
  • Be able to lift at least 50 lbs. individually
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and overtime, on an on-call rotation
  • The position will require travel between multiple customer locations within central Vermont & New Hampshire.
