Project Accountant

 

DuBois & King, Inc. is seeking motivated and detail-oriented Project Accountants to join our accounting team at our Bedford, NH or Randolph or S. Burlington, VT offices. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

We’re looking for a collaborative team player who thrives in cross-functional settings and is comfortable interacting with colleagues across multiple divisions and locations. The Project Accountant will play a key role in project financial management, including reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of financial and administrative responsibilities, that include:
    • Accounts Payable
    • Credit & collections
    • Project management
    • Invoicing & contract administration

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Experience in the engineering or construction industry is required
  • Experience with Unanet AE is a plus
  • Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel, Word.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Compensation Range

The salary range for this position is $55,000 – $75,000, plus employees may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will be dependent upon the individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws. CADD Designer

 

DuBois & King is seeking a CADD Designer to join our Aviation Division, supporting engineering and planning teams with high-quality design and drafting. Our projects include airport planning, runway and taxiway design, lighting systems, stormwater and drainage infrastructure, pavement markings, and site grading. 

Responsibilities 

  • Create accurate, detailed drawings and base maps from initial field data to final polished products. 
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, planners, and project managers to ensure design intent and standards are met. 
  • Participate in data collection, interpreting survey and design information for use in CADD software. 
  • Contribute to a variety of aviation projects with opportunities for professional growth and advancement. 

Qualifications 

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering Technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience). 
  • 5+ years of CADD drafting experience (preference given to candidates with aviation or civil infrastructure backgrounds). 
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D. 
  • MicroStation experience is a plus. 
  • GIS experience is a plus 
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a positive, team-oriented attitude. 
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to evolving project requirements. 

Compensation Range

The salary range for this position is $60,000 – $95,000, plus employees may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will be dependent upon the individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws. Civil Engineer – Aviation Division

 

D&K is seeking a civil engineer with 5 – 15 years of civil and/or aviation engineering, based in our rapidly growing aviation division. Projects will vary and can consist of airport planning, infrastructure design such as runways and lighting systems, stormwater and drainage, pavement markings and site grading. 

Responsibilities

  • Your responsibilities may include engineering-based planning, directing, and monitoring construction phase assignments on a range of airfield projects.  
  • You may also evaluate and analyze existing projects. 
  •  A working knowledge of FAA Advisory Circulars and/or Unified Facilities Criteria is ideal.   
  • This position is expected be at or to grow into a design team leader / project manager. 

Qualifications

  • Minimum position requirements include a Professional Engineer License (P.E.), or the ability to obtain one within 12 months 
  • Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) degree or higher 
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD / Civil 3D. 

Compensation Range:

The salary range for this position is $70,000 – $120,000, plus employees may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Engineering Project manager

 

DuBois & King is currently hiring a Engineering Project Manager to join the Public Works Division. Our firm is looking to add a civil or environmental engineer with 5+ years of experience who wants a team leadership role with growth potential. You will be mentored by the director of the division and you will serve as a mentor to junior engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational and project management support to the Regional Director
  • Provide management and technical development of a variety of civil projects with a strong emphasis on municipal and industrial water and wastewater
  • Develop business and build client relationships
  • Lead project teams in preparing conceptual, preliminary and final design and managing projects through construction
  • Oversee work, quality control, client coordination and all daily operational aspects of projects assigned to you
  • Prepare regulatory permit applications for a wide range of projects.
  • Prepare proposals, scopes of work, and project schedules that adhere to deadlines and budgets.
  • Mentor and train junior engineers on various project assignments
  • Share accountability with the other team members within the division

Qualifications

  • 5 – 15 years of experience in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • BS/MS in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • Preferred Civil or Environmental P.E. license
  • Previous leadership and project management experience
  • Experience with environmental permitting is a plus
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D

Compensation Range:

The salary range for this position is $90,000 – $120,000, plus employees may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Civil Engineer

 

DuBois & King, Inc is seeking a Civil Engineer with approximately 5 – 10 years of experience. This is a full-time engineering position with full benefits in our busy and growing Site & Land division.

Responsibilities

  • Learning key engineering software, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D and GIS programs/conventions.
  • Assist in the development and preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates.
  • Conduct site reviews as needed for feasibility studies, planning, and design projects.
  • Provide conceptual, preliminary, and final design civil engineering support for all divisions. These tasks are likely to include: investigation, research, calculations, evaluation of alternatives, and design development on a variety of projects.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment
  • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience
  • AutoCAD and  Civil 3D preferred
  • PE or ability to obtain one within 12 months preferred

Compensation Range:

The salary range for this position is $85,000 – $105,000, plus employees may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will be dependent upon the individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.
