Englesby House Renovations

DuBois & King provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural engineering, and bid and construction phase services for the interior renovation of the Englesby House, which serves as the University of Vermont’s President’s residence. The structure was built in 1914 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. D&K provided engineering services for the interior building elements for the main residence including electrical and mechanical upgrades, upgrade of the existing heating system, a new central air conditioning system, and centralized controls.
MEP upgrades were provided for the upgrade of the main level kitchen, installation of a second floor laundry room, renovations to two second floor bathrooms and master bed/bathroom suite, and refurbishment of the third floor. Electrical design included lighting upgrades and changes associated with HVAC upgrades. Structural scope of services included analysis and statement of condition of the existing roof.
