DuBois & King, Inc. is currently looking to hire a self-motivated Senior Accountant/Assistant Controller to add to our accounting team in our Randolph office. This is a full-time position. Our ideal candidate is a positive team player, who is ready to jump into a fast paced department and is comfortable working with people from multiple divisions. This position will also be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting as related to multiple projects. Salary dependent upon experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing accurate and timely financial statements.
- Assist with monitoring and analyzing financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Review and evaluate accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Collaborate with the finance team to streamline processes and implement best practices.
- Support audits and regulatory compliance efforts to ensure adherence to industry standards.
- Support the Controller in month-end and year-end closing activities
Qualifications
- Understanding of GAAP
- Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel, Word.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required
- Experience in the engineering or construction industry is a plus
- Experience with Unanet AE is a plus
