Andy Hoak, PE, PG

Director of Environmental Services

Andy is an enthusiastic and disciplined leader of our environmental services practice, which includes hydrology and hydraulics, geomorphology, stormwater, and natural resources. As a hydrogeologist and civil engineer, he is passionate about finding and maintaining clean drinking water sources, reducing pollution and enhancing the built environment through water resource exploration, stormwater management, site development, and slope protection projects. In addition to overseeing environmental documentation and permitting services such as NEPA and USACE, he mentors project managers and staff who focus on site development and resource identification.

Andy’s professional background includes working with partners in the government and private enterprises to develop and implement corrective actions that address unintentional releases of hazardous materials into ground and surface waters; this understanding also informs his focus on water source development projects. As an experienced angler, Andy has helped grow our geomorphology and surface water practices by working with private owners, communities, and conservation groups to lead channel restoration projects and remove obstacles to aquatic organism passage.
