Marketing Specialist/Designer

 

Do what you love! DuBois & King (D&K) seeks a self-motivated marketing professional with 3 to 5 years of experience to join the collaborative marketing team in a growing professional services firm. D&K provides diverse professional consulting services throughout the Northeast and beyond. 

As a member of our team, you will develop content and graphics to support the marketing of services ranging from mechanical or civil engineering to wetland science to municipal master planning. You will prepare copy and design content for proposals, develop graphical materials for trade shows and advertising, write press releases, prepare presentations, and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Experience with photography, website design or maintenance, and social media marketing are desirable. The preferred candidate will have both graphic design and writing abilities and will enjoy working in a team-oriented environment. This position has the potential for advancement.

Prerequisites: Good grammar, writing ability, basic graphic design skills, flexibility, self-motivation, and desire to collaborate and participate as a team player; Mac-based Adobe Creative Suite (required), Google and Microsoft applications (helpful). 

Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or communications or a similar field plus 3 or more years of experience. 

Responsibilities may include:

  • Manage large amounts of information and maintain data and records online.
  • Prepare proposal outlines.
  • Write, design, proofread, and copyedit proposals.
  • Search for, identify, and distribute proposal/qualifications opportunities as assigned by Marketing Manager or Divisional Director.
  • Manage photo library.
  • Take photos as needed.
  • Develop marketing and promotional materials, both print and electronic.
  • Work with advertisers for timely and usable ad submissions.
  • Proofread and copyedit marketing materials.
  • Create social media content.
  • Recommend, draft/develop content, implement, and maintain the firm’s website, as assigned.
  • Attend conferences and trade shows.
  • General assistance and support for the firm’s marketing efforts.

This is a full-time, 40 hour-per-week position based in our Randolph office. (This is not a virtual position.) Experience with photography, website design or maintenance, and social media marketing are desirable.

CAD REVIT Designer

 

DuBois & King, Inc., is seeking a CAD REVIT Designer with 3–7 years of CAD REVIT designer experience to be based in our rapidly growing Building Services division.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare technical reports and fire alarm drawings.
  • Conduct field surveys of existing buildings.
  • Work with Special Inspections and Code Consulting teams to provide fully integrated fire and life safety solutions in response to client project needs.
  • Manage multiple project deadlines with varying priorities.
  • Represent the company in a professional manner in all dealings with owners, architects, vendors, other design professionals and contractors.
  • Enhance the firm’s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing internal and external client requests.
  • Demonstrate core values and serves as a role model/mentor to all firm members.
  • Update job knowledge and technical expertise by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, participating in technical organizations and obtaining certifications in area of expertise and participating in the firm’s Technical Committee as requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in engineering required
  • Minimum of 3-7 years’ experience
  • Experience to include: Facilities surveys, reports, feasibility studies, design, specifications, cost estimating, and construction activity support.
  • Knowledge of Engineering drafting standards
  • Demonstrable understanding of construction process and interpretation of construction drawings.
  • Knowledge of AutoCad, REVIT and Microsoft Office suite
  • Good communication skills
  • Other Skills/Abilities: Team oriented, professional, self-starter, with positive attitude and multi-tasking capability
  • Knowledge of building code standards preferred

Certified Wetlands Scientist

 

DuBois & King, Inc. is currently hiring for a Wetlands Scientist with 2-8 years of experience to join the growing environmental division.  This is a full time position that can be based in our New Hampshire office. Field work will be based predominantly in New Hampshire & Vermont.

Responsibilities

  • Perform natural resource field work including, but not limited to, wetland delineations and functional assessments, wildlife habitat evaluations, invasive species mapping, and environmental permit compliance monitoring.
  • Assist with rare species surveys and plant inventories.
  • Prepare technical reports and memos.
  • Prepare and review permit applications for wetlands and waterbody impacts for local, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Prepare NEPA documents, including categorical exclusions, environmental assessments, and environmental impact statements.
  • Coordinate with State and Federal regulatory agencies regarding project requirements.
  • Prepare project budgets.
  • Navigate to remote locations, and to work alone as required.
  • Use GPS for navigation and to record field data.

Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in Natural Resources, Environmental Sciences, Ecology, or related field
  • Certified Wetland Scientist (CWS) in NH preferred
  • USACE Wetland Delineation training or similar preferred
  • 2-8 years’ previous experience in natural resources
  • Ability to identify and/or key out northeast plant species
  • Ability to characterize soil profiles
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability/willingness to work in physically challenging outdoor situations and travel on a regular basis to project sites throughout New England, including occasional overnight trips
  • ArcGIS experience preferred

Civil Project Engineer – Aviation

 

DuBois & King, Inc. is currently hiring for an Aviation Civil Project Engineer with 7+ years of civil and/or aviation engineering, to be based in our rapidly growing Aviation Division. Projects will vary and may include airport planning, infrastructure design such as runways and lighting systems, storm-water and drainage, pavement markings, and site grading.

Responsibilities

  • Engineering-based planning, directing, and monitoring construction phase assignments on a range of airfield projects.
  • Will be responsible to evaluate and analyze existing projects.
  • Working knowledge of FAA Advisory Circulars, design standards and/or Unified Facilities Criteria is ideal.
  • Expected to progress into completing design team leader/project manager duties.
  • Manage project tasks and schedules across multiple technical functional areas.
  • Review and prepare engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant civil engineering with some aviation experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) preferred not required
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or higher
  • Proficient knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Leadership, communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and organizational skills.
