As the result of a fire that partially engulfed a 45-room, wood-framed hotel building, the Bluenose Inn required substantial repairs. D&K supported the owner and the architect by providing fast-tracked survey, site design, permitting assistance, and coordination with municipal officials, as well as mechanical and electrical engineering for 21 suites and parking for 88 vehicles. To reduce interruptions to the resort operations, D&K’s services were tailored to support construction phasing that allowed portions of the project to proceed to construction rapidly.
