Colchester, Vermont | St. Michael's College

St. Michael’s College chose to expand its housing and student life facilities with two new four-story buildings that use a one-story connector link. Architectural design requirements included extensive use of glass, non-load-bearing walls, and minimal columns in large rooms. D&K was responsible to provide structural design for the building’s complex framing systems, as well as the design of a traditional spread footing foundation system. Our structural engineers developed the design in Revit to seamlessly integrate with architectural, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
