Lincoln Village Traffic Calming Study

Lincoln, Vermont | Town of Lincoln

Travel speeds in the village were a concern for the wide variety of modes and users in the area, including commuters, logging vehicles, maple sugaring equipment/vehicles, visitors, pedestrians, and bicyclists. D&K visited the village to understand existing conditions while considering potential constraints and opportunities for traffic calming measures and crosswalks. Our project team reviewed on-street parking along area roadways. We worked collaboratively with the public to discuss concerns regarding current traffic in the project area and to collect input on crosswalk needs. The project team drafted and refined traffic calming concepts, incorporating stakeholder and community input, resulting in a Traffic Calming Master Plan.
