Engineering S-STEM BRIDGE Program with Norwich University

DuBois & King recently took part in Norwich University’s inaugural Engineering S-STEM BRIDGE Program, a week-long kickoff designed to set incoming engineering students up for success.

Billy Devers, EI, a D&K engineer and Norwich graduate, brought students to active project sites at Burlington Beer Co. and the Essex, VT, salt sheds, giving them a firsthand look at engineering and construction in practice. Students also toured our South Burlington office, where they met practicing engineers and learned what life in the field is really like.

“When one of my professors from NU reached out looking to collaborate on the BRIDGE program, I jumped on the opportunity to maximize the experience for the students,” said Devers. “There is something about giving back to my alma mater that I find really rewarding, especially when I can help craft a unique experience for the next generation of engineers. I am very appreciative that D&K supported and encouraged our efforts.”

We’re proud to support programs like BRIDGE that connect students with industry from day one, and we look forward to seeing this first cohort grow into the next generation of engineers.
